Matamoros, Tamaulipas.- During the commemoration of the 243th Anniversary of the Independence of the United States of America held at the General Consulate of Matamoros, Governor Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca endorsed the goodwill, coincidences and spirit of collaboration that exist on both sides of the border to strengthen this region.
“To celebrate the 243th Anniversary of the Independence of our neighbors is an opportune moment to endorse them that our coincidences will always be greater than our eventual differences. In the Time of All that Tamaulipas lives, it is clear to us that the biggest challenges of society have global roots and implications, not only local ones, “he said.

“As neighbors, partners and friends who share the same region and the same spirit of collaboration, we Tamaulipas understand the independence movement of the United States as a struggle for the rights of man and the citizen to participate freely in the definition of the course of his Government, “said the Governor.
For her part, the Consul General of the United States in Matamoros, Neda Brown, said that to celebrate July 4 is to remember those who fought against unjust laws to found a new and better country, a nation founded on the ideals of democracy, justice and freedom.
